Community Gardens
What you need to get started—land with lots of sun, water and a deer fence
The community garden area is divided into plots (approximately 20 by 20 feet) for rent. Community gardeners work their own plot and contribute time to the upkeep of shared walkways, fences, irrigation and compost.
Stroll around the grounds and enjoy what people are doing in their gardens. If you are interested in renting a plot, contact the land steward for availability.
We ask that gardeners use only organic seeds, growing methods and materials.
For more information download a copy of the Tilth Community Garden Agreement.
Giving farmers a head start
For farmers who want to do more, perhaps start a business, we have four incubator farm plots that can come available for rent. We typically are looking for someone who intends to farm commercially using organic growing methods and will be able to devote the necessary time to maintain the plot in excellent condition year-round. Please contact the the land steward to check availability and learn about the application process.
