Growing food on Whidbey Island is a fun activity and gives us delicious dinners. Meet other gardeners at Tilth and hear all the best tips on making your food garden more successful this year. You'll save money by not having to buy so much fresh produce. We will cover soil preparation, timing, pest management and all the varieties that do well in our climate. Favorite crops include tomatoes, basil, peppers, squashes, cucumbers, beans, corn, eggplant, ground cherries and more!
Meet at the Tilth Farm Stand.
$5 for members and $15 for non-members (cash, check or card payable on the day of the class). R.S.V.P to education@southwhidbeytilth.org.
Anza Muenchow has been teaching and promoting growing and eating local food, to children and adults, through programs in Seattle and Whidbey Island for over 30 years. Her knowledge and passion for growing food, as well as horticulture in general, make her classes delightful. She runs Maha Farm with her partner Marc Wilson. They have sold fresh produce at the Tilth market since 2006.
